Fergie On Sneijder And Berba

By at August 3, 2011 | 10:00 am | Print

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has continued to dismiss the rumours linking Wesley Sneijder with a move to Old Trafford.

Current reports have again suggested that United are close to completing a deal for the Inter Milan star, but Ferguson says that is just newspaper rumours.

“I don’t know anything because it is all newspapers. Newspapers talk this way, but we have not said anything,” he told Direct 8.

The United boss was then asked whether Dimitar Berbatov could leave United for Paris Saint-Germain this summer, at which point he added: “Yes, he might. That’s possible.” The United boss was politely smiling at the time though, and it is quite possible that he did not hear the question correctly.
