Silva: Big Season For Torres

Manchester City’ David Silva insists that Chelsea’s Fernando Torres is facing the most important season of his life.
The international teammates, who were part of the Spain side that lifted the Euro 2012 title earlier this summer, are set to clash in Sunday’s Community Shield.
Both collected various club honours with their respective teams during last season but Silva believes the coming campaign will be the most important for Torres.
Torres’ true test is still to come as the former Liverpool man attempts to fill the boots of newly departed Didier Drogba, according to Silva.
“Chelsea will notice Drogba’s absence because he was important for them. But in football things come to an end and now is the moment of truth for Torres,” Silva said.
“It may be the most important season of his life, because he will have more minutes on the field.”
